Hard to explain. I think this is the best description I've heard yet.
Boys' life Local filmmaker Matthew von Manahan's The Book of Caleb is a comedy about a college dropout who falls back in with his prankster friends in suburban Bucks County and becomes caught up in their battles with a stuffed-shirt businessman obsessed with his role as George Washington at the annual reenactment of the crossing of the Delaware River. When love (and responsibilty) intrudes, it becomes a two-front war for the cut-ups. A sly subversion of the slacker genre.

- Hi, I'm Matthew Von Manahan. For the last six years me and some competent colleagues have been making a feature film from the basement of my Parent's house in Suburban Philadelphia. It's everything you can imagine. Since the project's inception we've been alienating ALL KINDS of people. I figure this blarf might be a good way to alienate more My Parent's also have this dog named Jackson. He's a German Shepherd, but don't let the breed's reputation for savagery fool you. He's a fucking pussy and the runt of his litter. It's just ANNOYING I can't leave the basement anytime I want without him attacking my arms. But it's fine, I'll outlive him. When we started making this movie he was a puppy, now he already is having hip problems. (allegedly passed down through generations of imbreeding)
